I once read that after a day of breathing, we are likely to inhale a molecule once exhaled by Napoleon — a poignant reminder that we are indeed enshrouded, walking, sitting, reading, and writing amid both the living and the departed. It is this profound sense of continuity—how the echoes of history resonate in our daily lives—that fuels my passion for exploring the links between the past and the present.

A historian, author, and trilingual consultant (English, French, Dutch), I am dedicated to bridging divides through innovative cross-media projects. I have been involved in cultural, editorial, and strategic projects across Europe for over twenty-five years.

I come from an unconventional background that merges political and artistic milieus, creating a distinctive foundation for my work. The portrait gallery of my political ancestors instilled in me a sense of belonging and continuity. However, the magic realist body of work of my grandfather, a painter, challenged and expanded my understanding of belonging by teaching me the art of observation and encouraging me to question notions of identity and continuity. Growing up as the son of a diplomat has given me a deep appreciation for diverse cultures, traditions, and worldviews. This background enriches my ability to connect with diverse audiences, a skill I incorporate into my writing and consulting work.

My expertise covers historical research, writing, heritage valorisation, knowledge transfer, patronage activation, business development, and the development of cultural content.

Creative, structured, and solution-oriented, I leverage my strong international network and cross-cultural understanding to deliver ambitious projects, blending intellectual rigour with accessible narration.
